Jane E. Johnson, a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, is an adult rape survivor. Her brave depiction of the graphic sexual assault including her remarkable journey of survival, provides insights into the criminal justice system, victim services, and prevention fields. Her story both captivates and educates her audiences.
Following her retirement from the State of RI, DCYF as a Casework Supervisor, she has become an acclaimed survivor speaker and an award winning activist. In 2016 Jane was the recipient of the Visionary Voice Award from the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) in Washington, DC representing Rhode Island. She is also an approved speaker for the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN) in Washington, DC.
Jane is a survivor and a proud member of SSRI.
